Little M's Lullabies

Lullaby Playlist

For all those times (hopefully there aren't too many) when Little M is having trouble falling asleep, here is a playlist of favorite lullabies from all your family and friends...

Grandma Inna - "White Bear Lullaby" from the cartoon Umka

Moira & Kim Varner – Goodnight My Angel; Billie Joel
Moira says... because I performed it when I was part of the Madrigals at Greenwich Academy, and it reminds me of all our fun times at GA.

Conan - Mozart ( Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major, K.467 - Andante )

Kim Richards & Michelle Manoff & Illene Weinraub  - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Illene says... The only lullaby that worked for my kids
Michelle says... The best way to put Seth to sleep

(Elizabeth aside: since twinkle twinkle little star had the most votes for favorite lullaby I added two versions to the playlist)

Sanja – Here comes the sun; the Beatles
Sanja says... My song suggestion is "Here comes the sun" by the Beatles cause it's happy and jolly when carrying the baby, and is catchy to remember and soothe the baby. It's a feel-good song, so hopefully it makes Katie and baby girl happy :)

Seth – Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata along with Chopin's Nocturne Opus 9 Number 2
Seth says... Hopefully, Little M will get her parents' love of classical music :)

Laura – Main Title from Cider House Rules
Laura says... My song suggestion is the main title from the movie ‘The Cider House Rules’. I chose this song because the theme is quintessentially American and makes me nostalgic for America. I also like the Michael Caine character's tradition of saying goodnight to the orphans with "Goodnight you princes of Maine, you kings of New England."

Sarah Dong - Frere Jacque & Itsy Bitsy Spider
Sarah says... My Favorite Lullaby (super cliche but fun): Are you Sleeping (Frere Jacque)Second Favorite Lullaby: Itsy Bitsy Spider

Aunt Elizabeth - You'll Be in My Heart (Tarzan) & Tale as Old as Time (Beauty and the Beast)
Elizabeth says.... I think "you'll be in my heart" is one of the most beautiful moments between a mother and her child. And I picked a song from beauty and the beast since I know it's one of your favorite Disney movies (and one of the best of all time of course!)

Uncle Bogdan - River Lullaby (The Prince of Egypt)

Grandad Igor - Рученьки, ніженьки» - українська колискова
